Making Love With A Pistol.—The story of a marriage agreed to by the unwilling bride at the mouth of the pistol has just been made public. The ceremony was declared invalid by Judge Barnard in the Circuit Court, in Rockland county, New York. The parties to the suit were the Rev. Luther A. Burrell, a Lutheran minister, now living in Brooklyn, and Miss Elizabeth Hinnon, of Ramseys, New York. Last summer Mr. Burrell was pastor of a church at Ramseys, Rockland county, New York. One of his parishioners was Miss Elizabeth Hinnon, a beautiful girl of seventeen. One day the pastor took her to drive and they proceeded to Nyack.—When near that village, the girl alleges, Mr. Burrell asked her to marry him, and when she refused he tried to persuade her with a pistol, threatening to shoot her if she refused again. Alarmed at his determination she went with him to the house of the Rev. Mr. Day, in Nyack, and they were married.
