SALEM, January 27.

Massachusetts Legislature--By the returns made by the Adjutant General to the Governor, and by him communicated to the Legislature, it appears that in the ten divisions of the militia of this commonwealth, there are 67,853 officers and men, equipped for the field; of which 57,309 are Infantry, 2,577 Artillery; and 2,667 Cavalry.--The applications for Banks, Turnpikes and Toll Bridges are almost innumerable. The expediency of a law for training youth in military exercises and of one for restraining unqualified physicians from practising, are under consideration.
