A peculiar case of infatuation on the part of a 15 year-old girl came to light at Nevada Saturday night when the child attempted to commit suicide after the frustrated jail delivery of Jess Cherry and James Drew, in jail charged with robbing a store at Swartz, Mo. Ada Depratt, the girl in question, has been working as a domestic for John T. Birdseye, whose home adjoins the jail. It is charged she became infatuated with one of the men and they induced her to give them a steel saw promising to take her away with them. The men were working on the bars of the cell when a passerby saw them and reported the matter to Sheriff Baugh. When caught the men thought the girl had given them away and they told the sheriff who had given them the saw. When the girl learned that the men thought she had betrayed them she took poison wire. uliy she shot horse wire.
