Sioux Falls. S. D.-Mrs. Dan Coates, 810 Mable St. attended the 38th Annual South Dakota Congress of Parents and Teachers at Deadwood. S. D. April 23 and 24th, as a representative of Whittier Junior High School.
Mrs. Coates is president - elect of Whittier Junior High School PTA for 1958 and will begin office in September. The school has en enrollment of over 600 students representing some 400 families.
Active in civic affairs, Mrs. Coates has ten years of scouting. is a charter member of the Y. W C. A.. has many service years on the Community Chest Drive, the Red Cross, Heart Fund, Cancer Drive, T. B. Unit and holds a life membership in the P.T.A.
She attended grade and high school in Sioux Falls and is a licensed beautician.
She and her husband Daniel Coates, a contractor, have two daughters, Dannette 15 and Joanne 14.
