Tucson the Mecca For Chink Refugees
Tucson is coming to be known as a mecca for San Francisco Chinese refugees. So rapidly have the chinks been going there that they have so augmented the Chinese population that there are now two Chinatowns in Tucson. One is located on Pearl street and the other on Court street, just west of Church Plaza. The Citizen says there at present at least 400 Chinamen in the city. The Frisco Chink refugees now here number ninety, and more are arriving daily The new arrivals are nearly all laborers, although there are some merchants among them. The refugees are all given work by their Chink brethren.
