Yellow Fever At Canton.—The Canton Citizen, of Saturday morning, has the following:

It is with much regret we have to announce that there is one case of Yellow Fever in Canton. A Mr. Giddings, an engineer on the New Orleans and Jackson Railroad, was taken sick on Sunday last, and the disease has developed itself as a well marked case of yellow fever. Mr. G. is a man of family and resides near the railroad depot. Though an engineer on the road, he never ventured within the city of New Orleans, but always stopped at Kenner, the first station, ten miles from the city.

The Citizen expresses the hope that the disease will not spread, but says there is considerable excitement, and that many people will doubtless leave without waiting for the second case. The same paper adds:

The weather was quite cold this morning (Friday)—some say there was frost, while others, who were up equally as early, say there was none. If there was frost at all, it must have been in very few localities, and a very slight one at that. We are so near the season of frost, however, that the yellow fever even if it should spread—which we do not apprehend—will not have a very great run, though we may have a panic and a stampede.
