DENOUNCES JUDGE WRIGHT
Gompers Says Sentence of Himself and Colleagues is Unjust.

BALTIMORE, Md., Jan. 10.--Concerning the recent sentence of himself and other officials of the American Federation of Labor, Samuel Gompers today said:

"The granting of the injunction and the sentence imposed by Judge Wright were grossly unjust, and not even a judge nor his sentence can put a stigma upon my colleagues nor myself, nor make criminals of us. The injustice of it is shown by the fact that the things we are forbidden to do every other citizen has the right to do, and it is this that we are protesting against."

Mr. Gompers' remarks were made to the local federation of labor.
