Extract of a letter from London, July 2.
"By the Proceedings of the House which I have sent you via St. John's New-Brunswick, in the Ann, now at Gravesend, you will find that, £.1,887,548 has been granted to the Loyalists of the colonies north of Florida; and £.1,13,952:14:3 to the late inhabitants of East Florida: This is besides £75,504 per annum, annual income, to such persons as have been deprived of offices and professions In America. All this money will be issued between January and April next, in Fifty Pounds Debenture Certificates, redeemable at the Exchequer by instalments of one fourteenth part, including the interest, every six months, and bearing an interest of three and a half per cent. from the 2d instant, at which period all Treasury Allowances will cease, and the names of such persons as will be entitled to a Permanent Pension, in consequence of their official or professional loss, will be transferred to the Civil List, and be paid every six months at the Exchequer."
