Armistice Observed in Nome

Armistice Day, Wednesday, November 11th, 1931, was observed in Nome by an entertainment of musical numbers; addresses and a dance at the A.B. Hall Wednesday evening. Following are those who took part in the program:

An address was given by District Attorney Leroy M. Sullivan; Young Kenneth Stangroom gave a harmonica solo; a violin solo was played by Miss Virginia Lomen; Miss Florence Kinney recited "In Flanders Field"; Mrs. Ross J. Kinney rendered a vocal solo; a recitation was given by Mrs. Leroy Sullivan and a vocal solo rendered by Mrs. L. E. Rynning.

The affair was under the auspices of the Thomas Alfred Ross Jr. Post No. 9 American Legion. Following the completion of numbers on the program, dancing was enjoyed between acts, and continued to a late hour. Everyone had an excellent time and went home well satisfied.
