An Item Four Years Old.
To the Daily Light,
The Express quotes the opinion given by Dr. Herff, Sr., four years ago, on sewers, and insists everybody should bow to it with deference, which suggests to me to ask, if the Express did not support the sewer proposition of Callahan in the teeth of Dr. Herff's adverse opinion. Did not the Express also support the issue of $200,000 of city bonds, with which to purchase the water works? The Express has been consistently inconsistent on all local issues, and it is at it still.
