The game that has been talked about, discussed and fussed
over will become a reality today when the Georgia-Ala-
bama Amateur League, inc., and the Branch Rickey League
place their giltedge All-Stars on display in Ponce de Leon Park,
home of the Southern Association Atlanta Crackers. Game time
is set for 3:00 p. m.

For years partisans of both cir-
cuits have discussed the relative
class, competition, and skill of in-
dividual players, with each claim
recognition for their own favored
clan. Now, that this dream inter-
circuit showdown has been ar-
ranged it remains only for the per-
formers to show their stuff.
A tight, tense,
down-to-wire
struggle is forecast for today's dia-
mond test as Early King, Atlanta
Braves and Jimmy Bryant of the
Robinson Dodgers, play horsehide
chess with the forces of Theodore
Sims, East Point Bears, and Percy
Bridges of the College Park In-
dians.
These standout strategists have
a
splendid corps of moundsmen at

their beck and call and can duel
each other on terms of equal depth
and strength, whether lefties or
righties are needed to fill the bill.
