Austin, Tex., April 17.-
Thomas Tinsley, sent to jail in Houston some time ago for contempt of court in refusing to obey a mandate to turn over certain cemetery property to a receiver appointed by the court, had a hearing today before the State Court of Criminal Appeals on habeas corpus. The court refused his application and remanded him to jail, and he will be held here until the Sheriff at Houston can come after him. Tinsley is a millionaire and owns a great deal of property in this city and Houston. He is an Englishman, and avows his intention of appealing to his government.
International complications may grow out of it.
