We learn that the driver of the People's Line of stages, was thrown from his seat about two miles above Frederica, on Saturday night last, in consequence of being very much benumbed with the cold, and running into a deep hole in the road. What is most singular, is, that the horses continued on with the stage into Frederica, turned one or two corners of the streets as usual, and slackened their pace when they came opposite the Post Office, but not being spoken to they again started off in a trot to Milford, a distance of seven miles. Here they again slackened their pace when opposite the Post Office, but not being spoken to as before, they again proceeded in a trot to the Hotel, where the stage stops, and not being checked there, they continued on to the bridge, turned at the usual place, and came up to the door of the Hotel again,- by which time the landlord came to the door, and called wo, not supposing, however, but that the driver was on his seat,-where the horses remained for some time. No accident whatever occurred. We only notice this circumstance to show the wonderful sagacity of that most noble of animals, the Horse.

The driver of the People's Line of stages was thrown from his seat about two miles above Frederica due to being benumbed with the cold and running into a deep hole in the road. The horses continued on with the stage into Frederica, turned corners as usual, slackened pace opposite the Post Office, then proceeded to Milford seven miles away, slackened again opposite the Post Office there, went to the Hotel, continued to the bridge, turned, and returned to the Hotel door where the landlord called to them, assuming the driver was present. The horses remained there for some time.
