Death Song of a Broken Heart.

St. Louis Republican Davenport (Ia) Letter.

Miss Carrie E. Stanley, a beautiful young woman of twenty years, committed suicide at the house of M. J. Cay, where she was stopping, last night, by taking strychnine. Her parents are old residents of the county. Disappointment in love was the cause of the act. Her death was after prolonged agony, caused by the action of the poison. She left the following:

"I am tired of this world of care,
I leave this world of dark despair,
And hope, dear friends, that you will meet me there.
Gone to one that is fairer far;
Do not ask the reason why
For in my grave I long to lie."
