Clark will come to Juneau from Balboa Heights, Panama Canal Zone, where since 1945 he has been Curriculum Director of the Personnel Division of the Department of Education.
Phillips reported that Clark was a graduate of Hayward, California, High School in 1927. He then attended San Jose State College, and was graduated with a General Elementary credential in 1930.
In 1937, after attending summer sessions, Clark received his A. B. degree from San Jose; and after more summer sessions at Stanford, he was given his Master's degree in education from that university.
Phillips stated that Clark's teaching history lists the following positions in the California school system: Red Bluffs, Lemoore, eight years at Avenal, and Coalinga.
Clark is married, and has one child.
