Full Text
Rain has been distributed with uncommon partiality the present season. While in some neighborhoods within from thirty to fifty miles of us, every description of vegetation is literally parched up, in others, equidistant, but in a different direction, the moisture has been sufficient, and every thing looks green and flourishing. The clouds would seem to have been partial to the running streams for along the banks of rivers the Crops have certainly suffered less than in other situations.
Taking the Counties immediately around us --in Dinwiddie, Brunswick, and Greensville the product of Corn will be but small; while in Sussex, Southampton, Surry, Prince-George and Chesterfield perhaps, the crops generally will be larger than last year.
