Hubert Latham To Soar Over Baltimore At Noon Nov. 7 If Weather Permits
Hubert Latham will begin his flight over Baltimore at noon Monday, unless the weather prevents. This is the revised route.
From the aviation field to Fort McHenry coming into the city on the lower side of the Fort: over the water to Light street, then a turn to circle The Sun Building: east over Baltimore-street to the east side of Patterson Park: north by west to North avenue: west over North avenue to Greenmount avenue: south west to Charles and Chase streets, so as to pass the rear of Mr. Ross R. Winans' house, 1217 St. Paul street: south over Charles street to Baltimore street: west over Baltimore street to Fulton avenue, thence to the field.
The following resolution of the Baltimore City Council was adopted October 31, 1910:
"Resolved by both branches of the City Council, That when Hubert Latham, the aviator engaged by The Sun for a flight over the city in an aeroplane, leaves the field at Halethorpe the bell in the dome of the City Hall will be rung for five minutes.
"Also, that the owners of factories and steamboats be requested to blow whistles so that the public will know the aeroplane is about to fly over the city."
