CUTLAND BAR LOOKS BETTER THAN EVER

Development activities on the Outland Silver Bar during the present season have not only enhanced the future outlook for that highly promising property but also have disclosed that its ore potentialities are still far from being determined. As evidence of this assertion it may be said that the work done this summer has resulted in the opening up of several new veins of large dimension, all containing ore of excellent commercial grade.

One vein of the series carries ore of distinctly high grade character, the mineralization including large masses of solid galena and showing heavy impregnations of chalcopyrite and pyrite. Another shows solid bands of steel galena, an inch or more in width, combined in a matrix of white quartz with massive galena and pyrites.

Samples from another recent find are identical in appearance with the gold ores found on the near-by Big Missouri property but the values had not been determined. The recently discovered vein of unidentified ore resembling stibnite and carrying gold values assaying over $20 per ton is proving under development to be of greater importance than at first suspected. Recent prospecting has shown the deposit to be of very large extent with respect to surface aspects, while a short tunnel has exposed a solid face of the silvery-hued ore which assays from $10 to $25 in gold, in addition to several dollars in silver.

A distinguishing feature of all the new as well as the older veins so far opened up on the property is their unusually large size and the high average value of the ores.

Under the conservative development policy adopted by Mr. F. C. Outland and his associates, the property is being subjected to a most thorough surface prospecting, while underground development is proceeding on the several large ore deposits located in earlier years. As a result there are few properties in the district that can show more ore exposures of commercial size and grade.

Mining men who have examined the ground are unanimous in the view that the property is fully entitled to be included among the most promising in the district.
