HARBOR IMPROVEMENT
WASHINGTON, May 6, (AP)—Dimond said Friday that he had been assured that the rivers and harbors omnibus bill now pending in committee in the House will include a total of three hundred forty-one thousand, with an additional outlay contingent on private sources. The building of a cold storage plant at Kodiak, if their requirements are met, and a channel twenty-two feet deep and two hundred feet wide will be authorized at Kodiak. Other appropriations are one hundred forty two thousand for the improvement of Wrangell Narrows; six hundred for snagging Stikine River; the improvement of Petersburg Harbor, provided the local interest put in eight thousand, for a small vessel harbor, fifty nine thousand one hundred has been appropriated; and five thousand to deepen and widen Egegik river.
