On the Wing.-For the past few weeks we have been engaged in a missionary enterprise in the interest of the Hall and Asylum Fund, and our labor has been lightened by many pleasant greetings.

At Haverstraw we met Chief Commissioner E. A. Sufferns, and the members of Stony Point Lodge, and had the pleasure of crossing the Hudson next morning on a tug-boat, and through the thickest fog we ever saw.

At Port Jervis we met R. W. Charles B. Grey, and the whole-souled, open-handed brethren of the lodge of that place. Their greeting and hospitality was fraternal in the extreme and most kindly sense of the word.

At Callicoon the thermometer was below zero, but the warmth of our greeting made glorious Summer. We may forget a good many things, but the genial courtesy and liberal response of the brethren of Sullivan county will not be among them.

From thence to Union, about nine miles beyond Binghampton, and here we fell into the arms of R. W. Bro. Robert P. Barnard, who is the very embodiment of all that goes to make up a man. He espoused our cause with a vigor worthy of the veterans, and putting all personal considerations aside, made crooked things straight, and darkness light before us. He has the assurance of our warmest gratitude and kindest remembrance, and if he wants to run for sheriff next Fall, he can count on the Dispatch.

At Lansingburgh, in the midst of a heavy snow storm, we had the lodge-room crowded to its utmost capacity, and a generous response to our appeal. So far so good.
