From New-Orleans--By the brig William, arrived at New York, New Orleans papers to the 13th ult. inclusive have been received. They are barren of news--the city continued healthy.

The schooner Fell's Point, Captain Stagg, which arrived at New Orleans on the 1st of July from Havana, was seized on the 5th for smuggling slaves, and the captain, supercargo, and crew, with the exception of two, who made their escape, were arrested, and committed to prison, to await their trial; as were also those, in whose possession they were found. The slaves were landed on plantations below the city.

Captain Williams, who formerly commanded the Revenue Cutter Alabama, states that the above mentioned schooner was seized last year at Mobile for smuggling, and that the supercargo is an old offender in that business.
