Roller Skating.

The rapidity with which this pastime has grown into popular favor is remarkable. The inventors have been at work improving on the first primitive form of the roller skate till they have, in a number of different models, brought it nearly to perfection. The Indianapolis (Ind.) News says the machine and steel pulley company of that city, which is engaged in the manufacture of parlor skates, finds it impossible to keep up with its orders for them. As an indication of the manner in which the roller skate craze is affecting the people, it states that the little town of Amo, in Hendricks county, of that State, which contains a population of only 208 souls, sent an order for seventy-five pairs of skates.
