DIXON, Feb. 9--Twenty-one of this community met on Thursday evening of last week at the new Dixon hall for the purpose of forming and organizing a Dixon Men's Community Boosters Club.
The meeting was well received and the purpose of the organization enthusiastically endorsed.
Officers of the club were elected as follows: R. W. (Tige) Schmauch, chairman; Lucius Smith, vice-chairman; Joseph Grenier, secretary; Edward Galarneau, treasurer.
A committee was appointed to prepare and submit at the next meeting a preliminary constitution and set of by-laws for the club. This committee, composed of Forrest H. Stone, S. H. (Stew) Smith, Nat McTucker, Amos Burrel and E. L. (Gene) Pitts, expects to have an outline of the constitution and by-laws at the next meeting which will be a special meeting, Friday, Feb. 11, at 8:00 p. m.
"All men of the community at large and from adjoining communities are invited to attend our meetings, whether they receive a special notice or not," said Mr. Grenier, secretary.
