MME. NUNGESSER ASKS CLEMENCY FOR DOOMED REDS
PARIS, August 9-Mme. Nungesser, mother of the airman Charles Nungesser, who disappeared after starting on a Paris-New York flight, today cabled Governor Fuller of Massachusetts, pleading for mercy for Sacco and Vanzetti.
"I believe that while I am waiting for my dear child, a little peace will come to me if my respectful intervention saves the lives of the two unfortunates," she said in a message cabled through the Paris Sacco-Vanzetti committee. "I await your reply patiently."
