A Herald special from Rome says the cremation of the corpse of Chevalier Rossi was publicly concluded in the Monumental Cemetery in Milan yesterday. Editorially referring to this case of cremation the Herald says:
The arrangements for this purpose in Milan are very complete. The corpse is placed in a chamber, in which one hundred gas jets combine to raise a temperature of over one thousand degrees, and incineration is neatly and thoroughly done in an hour, and only a mere pinch of the delicate dust remains. There is nothing spectacular about it.
