We are told by a letter from Newcastle, that a Clergyman in the North having left his Sermon at home on Sunday se'nnight, dispatched the Beadle for it who returned with a small parcel folded up; and the Pastor supposing this to be the discourse for the day, ascended the pulpit therewith, but on opening the budget was not a little confounded to find, instead of the sermon, a small box with gold scales and weights. As time would not permit a 2d messenger to go and return, the congregation were dismissed with the usual benediction.
