TO THE WORLD EDITOR:
I am enclosing my check for five dollars ($5.00) to the World Cheer Fund. I sincerely wish that it could be more because I know of the tremendous value of this fund in making it possible for hundreds of needy Colored people in Atlanta to have a good Christmas who otherwise would not have.
Many people feel that because work has been more plentiful and money more free that everyone will have a happy Christmas. Perhaps the need is not as acute this year as it has been in the past but the fact remains that there are still thousands of deserving families in Atlanta who, in spite of more abundance are having a struggle and if it were not for such efforts as the World Christmas Cheer Fund, many deserving people would have a pretty cheerless Christmas.
