FRIENDLY SNAKE TO DEATH

Tokio, April 29. (AP)—A 12-foot
python, showing its way recently into
a passenger coach of an express
train near Nagoya, created a panic
which was mutual for both python
and passengers.

The big snake, property of
a
Japanese show man, had broken out
of its box in the baggage car. When
the passengers screamed the python
shuffled back to the platform of the
coach, fell through an opening in the
floor and was run over and killed. Its owner has sued the imperial
government railways for 10,000 yen for the loss.

Japan with 55 million persons has
less than a million dairy cows.
