Full Text

The Lexington (Ky.) Observer in noticing the result of the recent election in that state, says: We aver it as our deliberate opinion that at no time in her history has Kentucky been more thoroughly Whig than she is now, and intends to remain. This will be demonstrated when the name of Clay is before the people of the state for the Presidency. There may be jarring among his friends—collision of interests—rivalry, for honor—but all this will at once disappear, when the great battle is to be fought under the star spangled banner of our intrepid champion.
