Organize First Prince
Hall Lodge In Alaska

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (ANP) - Returning to Oklahoma City after a weekend in Alaska, Amos T. Hall, grand master of the Prince Hall Masons of Oklahoma and president of the Grand Masters conference of Prince Hall Masons, announced the formation of a new lodge in Anchorage, Alaska.

Hall stated that this was the first Prince Hall Masons' lodge in the 49th state. It has been given the name of Alpha and placed under the jurisdiction of the Oklahoma Grand Lodge. Two other lodges are in course of formation in Alaska and after their dedication the grand lodge of Alaska will be formed, according to Hall.

There are now Prince Hall grand lodges in 40 states. Only in states sparsely populated with Negroes are there no lodges. A grand lodge also exists in Liberia, Africa and in the Bahamas.
