"Life can be beautiful" as no one can deny after hearing Pruth McFarlin with his wonderful tenor voice. The audience was a very appreciative one. They asked for more and more until the artist had to say the program had ended. It will never end, for there will be reverberations of his sweet tenor notes ringing in their ears for a long time to come. Thanks to Bethel Baptist Church for bringing him to us. It should certainly serve as an inspiration to those with a desire to further their music careers.
THE SCENE AT THE YMCA social room Saturday noon could have been any enchanted place in picturesque New Orleans when comely Marianna Harris entertained two of her bridge clubs--the Dames and the Fortnighters.

DON'T YOU JUST ENVY PEOPLE who can entertain with so much ease. Lillian Stewart had turkey dinner with all the trimmings for her club members-the Aristos--on Saturday night. .Since we ate so much and really got lazy, we had an excuse for letting a "fill-in" come in and take away first prize. Nellie G. Callery of Cincinnati was the fill-in. Viola Lloyd won second prize.
There is always gaiety and merriment when the clever Margaret Robinson entertains. Adding color to the regular meeting of the Las Joueuses was the welcoming of two of Dayton's most charming young matrons -Mrs. Esther Scott Carter, wife of Russell L. HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED what happened to that nice young man your 10-year-old used to sweep the porch half the day just to say "Hi!" to as he left the evening paper? That Hi-Y boy who kept your teen-ager going to all the social affairs at the YMCA? Here are a few of the answers we picked up during the semester break: Edgar Ramsey is a pre-dental student at Bowling Green, J. W. Smith is a social major at Ohio University, Frank Venable is a physical education major right here with us at University of Dayton, Benny Pate, Jr. is in industrial arts at Bowling Green. There must be many more, but these are all we happened to run into. Good luck boys!
