Results to Grow out of the Slave Law.

[An old liberty man, at the close of a business letter to us, takes the following brief, but we think correct view, of one of the results which will grow out of the slave law.]

"Sir, may I be indulged to write a few lines on the fugitive slave question, which is so much talked about. There has not been any thing, since the abolition agitation, which has so effectually opened the eyes of many, as the passage of this law, and the threats of enforcing it. Old abolitionists that have borne the burden in the heat of the day, may now stand and look on, and see the ranks filling up out of the whig and old line ranks. It must soon come to pass. that Herod and Pilate will soon become friends. and honest men will see who is for liberty-who the free soil men are. If the South want to dissolve the Union, let them do it, and slavery is abolished at once; for they will be divided among themselves, for "a house divided against itself cannot stand."
