PROVIDENCE.
LATEST FROM EUROPE.
By the arrival at Boston on Tuesday, of the ship Majestic, Capt. Page, which sailed from Liverpool on the 6th of August, advices have been received to that date from Liverpool and to the 4th from London.

The three Allied Powers appeared at length to be in earnest to establish Greece as an independent State. The President of Greece had officially announced that the Emperor Nicholas had communicated to him the declaration of the motives and object of the war against Turkey—which are the same as heretofore published; that the pacification and the future state of Greece are still the objects of his christian solicitude; and that his Majesty has placed at the disposal of the Greek Government a pecuniary aid. The expedition sent by France to the Morea, it also appears has for its sole object the concurrence of England. It will probably compel pacification of Greece, and has received the candid the Egyptian Army to return home; and then a treaty will be concluded with Greece for the establishment of her Independence.

Constantinople, July 8.—The Grand Vizier in communicating to the Sultan the news of the surrender of Braila, and the gallant defence made by the garrison, said "Sire, three more losses like that of Braila, and you will remain the conqueror in the great contest."—It is said, the Porte has sent a letter to the Duke of Wellington expressing a wish to see the English Ambassador again in Constantinople.

The Berlin papers of the 26th July, contain the 10th Bulletin of the Russian army, by which it appears that the Emperor left Karassoy on the 6th July, and no resistance being attempted the Russians entered Bazardjik without opposition, the inhabitants abandoning it as the Russians advanced. After the advanced guard has passed Bazardjik, they met with a body of Turkish horse, commanded by Hussein Pacha, who had been sent from Choumla to reconnoitre, and a slight skirmish ensued. The advanced guard of the Russians was on the 11th at Kousloudju, or Koslania, in a line with Choumla.

From Kosloudja and Choumla there are two roads which meet at Pravantho. Kovarna on the left of the Russians, has been occupied, and Varna, an important fortress, is to be invested. Silistria, on the Danube, is to be besieged at the same time. In all probability the Russians, leaving Choumla on their right, will take the eastern road by the sea coast to the Balkan. It seems more probable, however, that Choumla will be attacked.

London, August 1.—It is the intention of the Turks to draw the Russians on till they get them into the strong and difficult country between Choumla and the Balkan.
