Wife's Life Object To Give Him Hell

ATLANTA, Jan. 22.—According to his divorce petition, filed in DeKalb superior court, R. W. McAdams of the city of Decatur, near Atlanta, might be entitled to the distinction of having the most temperamental woman in the world for a wife. The outbursts of famous opera stars and actresses were very tame affairs compared with his experiences.

McAdams asserts that his wife frankly told him that her only object in life was to "give him hell," and that she proceeded to do so in the most efficient manner, making life so miserable that he now asks the court to relieve him of the bonds of matrimony.

On one occasion, he alleges, she extinguished a candle by jabbing the wick against his cheek. On another occasion, he charges, she knocked a cup of hot coffee out of his hand with a poker, spilling the coffee all over him, and then whirled around and broke every pane of glass in a window.
