The Sale of the Home of Mrs. Kate Chase Sprague Postponed.

WASHINGTON, May 22.-The home of Mrs. Kate Chase Sprague, daughter of the late Chief Justice Chase of the United States Supreme Court, was to have been sold at auction to-day but owing to the threatening weather but few prospective purchasers attended and the property was not offered. Mr. Herbert Noble, the trustee, returned to New York without fixing any date for the sale, but said it would probably take place in June. An effort will probably be made by Mrs. Sprague's friends to arrange for the carrying over of the present trusts until next year, as they are reasonably sure a better price can be obtained at that time. The property consists of about thirty-five acres, and is delightfully located in the northeastern part of the District.
