GOWN PROBLEM IS EASILY SOLVED BY WIFE OF PRESIDENT-ELECT

SAN FRANCISCO, March 1, -

Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt will be the only President-Elect's wife in history who has not a brand new gown designed especially for the auspicious occasion of assuming her place as First Lady.

But there is sentiment and glamour galore in the costume which she plans to wear when she makes her bow as mistress of the White House.

It is made of exquisite white satin brocade woven in Japan nearly a century ago. Part of a bolt that was a royal gift to Mrs. Dora Forbes, an aunt of Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt.
