FROM FLORIDA.

Charleston, June 2.—Captain Vincent, of the sloop James, arrived here yesterday from St. Mary's, and Fernandina, informs that the ship Meteor, Glover, and the U. S. schr. Tartar, Paine, were at the latter place, waiting orders to proceed to St. Augustine and Havana.—Col. Butler, of the U. S. Army, had been to St. Augustine, to make arrangements for the transfer of that post to the American authorities, but the Spanish commandant not having received any orders to that effect, Col. B. had returned to Fernandina. Another officer of the army had gone to St. Augustine, when Capt. Vincent sailed.
