The sheriff's department is holding three men, one an 81-year-old, for investigation of the armed robbery of Mr. and Mrs. Howard G. Whidby, Windley Key, on Dec. 19.
Identified as Everette L. Rogers, 81, Gale E. Forth, 36, and William M. Brakebill, 25, all of Key Largo, the men are being held after they were identified by the victims as the men who robbed and terrorized them.
Sheriff's investigators said this morning that they expected warrants to be issued sometime today charging all three with armed robbery.
The men are accused of entering the bait shop operated by the Whidbys and robbing them at gun point leaving the couple tied and gagged.
