Mr. Whittaker, of Troy, said there was an unpoetical writing medium in that city who had under the spiritual influence written 140 pages of very fine poetry. Mr. G. Smith of Vermont, said that as a medium, he could see the internal organs of the body, with the diseases, and simultaneously the remedy: that he had had a view of the planets and of their inhabitants: in Mercury the inhabitants are extremely low in the scale of development; in Venus there is much contention: in Mars the inhabitants are more developed than the inhabitants of the earth: in Jupiter and Saturn they are still more developed: Herschel is thinly settled and all the planets beyond are depopulated in consequence of the cold weather and their distance from the solar system. An evening service was occupied in an address by Rev. Mr. Finney on the theme (says the Republican) of the emancipation of the human race from the slavery of error, and in its discussion, he endeavored to illustrate and enforce the great law of human progress, and to kick over the bible, the priests, and the church.—Boston Traveller.
