HARDWARE STORE IS OPENED IN CHITINA

Fred Schaupp, the sheet metal worker, has installed a hardware stock in his place of business and will make a specialty of carrying everything in that line.

Mr. Schaupp is an old timer from the Klondike and Tanana camps and is thoroughly familiar with the needs of the trade in Alaska. He will carry everything needed for freighters and hunters and trappers, and later intends to carry mining machinery.

"I shall endeavor at all times," said Mr. Schaupp, "to anticipate the needs of the trade. The stock I am now laying in is but preliminary to that which I shall carry later, all arrangements having been made."
