Event Details
His mother sent him to get a pair of shoes; instead of procuring the kind which she directed, he brought home a pair of Monroe's. For this he was reprimanded. In the evening, he was found suspended by a rope from a beam in the shed, having put on the new shoes and pushed a log from under him after applying the noose.
