Mr. Harrell, of Gates county, N.C., was robbed of $175 on board the steamer Georgia, on Monday night last, during her passage from Baltimore to Norfolk. The money was in a purse and was taken from under his pillow while asleep, the thief leaving untouched his watch, which lay in the same place. The captain of the boat had his crew searched, but none of the passengers were examined. Mr. H. suspects a stranger who he saw walking the cabin floor after he retired, and who took the steamer for Richmond the next morning.—Pet. Intel.
