We hear that Dr. Buchanan intends to visit Jerusalem and the interior of Palestine, with the view to the promotion of the translation of the Scriptures, and the extension of Christianity. One of his objects, it is said, is to ascertain whether it may be practicable to establish presses in Jerusalem or Aleppo, for the Hebrew, Arabic, and Syriac languages.

He intended to touch at Alexandria, in his voyage to Palestine, and to return by the Lesser Asia, through the Region of the seven primitive churches, to pass from thence to Athens and Corinth, and the larger islands of the Archipelago.
