"THE
CONCH",
COVERING
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES,
IS
OF BEAUTIFUL DESIGN
Of beautiful design, artistically
arranged as to reading matter and
illustrations, is "The Conch" of
1938, which is a record of the ac-
tivities of Key West Junior-
Senior High School for the year,
and which is issued annually by
the student body.
Issues of the annual have ever
been beautifully gotten up and
very attractive, but the current
issue surpasses those of previous
dates. The instant appeal of the
book is seen when the reader
glances at the cover and decora-
tions.
In bas relief on a field of blue
is a section of the Overseas
bridges, in glistening silver with
an automobile on the span. In
the upper left hand is a replica
of a conch shell, the lip of which
is in silver with the name, "The
Conch, 1938"
There are 53 photographic illus-
trations showing the officers of
the school and the classes, and the
different organizations which
form a progressive institution of
learning and a number of pic
tures of scenes posed for in a
lighter vein.
The complete cover is of heavy
split grained leather, and the
entire issue is a product of The
Artman Press.
