STRIKERS REFUSE TO HEED MINERS' COUNCIL ADVICE

United Press.

LONDON, Aug. 28.--The strike situation is worse.

The strikers have refused to heed the advice of the miners' council to return to work pending settlement efforts.

Over thirty thousand men are now out on strike.

The miners threaten that the entire Monmouthshire district will walk out on strike tonight, unless the government shows a disposition to recognize the miners' claims.

Monmouthshire miners council voted to seek an early meeting with the mine owners.
The danger of the English miners joining the Welsh is increasing. Officials regard this with apprehension.
