Full Text

Seriously Injured.

Last Saturday, Ira Blossom, the fourteen-year-old son of J.A. Blossom, of Battle Mountain, was seriously, and for a while it was thought fatally, injured, while with his father gathering horses, about nine miles from town. The horse which he was riding ran against a loose animal. The shock unhorsed the boy, and it is thought one of the horses fell on and rolled over him. The boy was taken home in an unconscious state. A dispatch to the Reveille on Monday afternoon reported him as being still unconscious, and Dr. Banks, who attended him, said one of his ribs was broken. He is a bright boy, and later reports are more favorable, and it is hoped that he will recover.—[Silver State.
