Full Text

There are two kinds of Republicans. One is the kind that never vote with the People's party.

One is the kind that is a Republican because he thinks the principles of the Republican party are right; the other is the colored gentleman that is smart enough to know that "No d-d nigger or lawyer can belong to our party."

There used to be an organization in this country called The Farmers Alliance. Do you ever hear of it now? No. Ring, sore-head politicians wormed themselves into its lodges and it has dissolved into the old thread-bare fake, "Populist Party." There is nothing in it and it will go the way of its current-great-great-great-grandfathers.

The divine principles of Democracy will live forever.

Ten years ago Republican papers were busy explaining how a protective tariff increased the price of products of labor. Since the passage of the McKinley bill the price of wheat has gone from $1.15 to 70 cents, while other products of the farm have gone down in the same ratio, and now Republicans are stopped in making it plain how supply and demand regulate the prices of agricultural productions.
