Squaw Peak Lanes, now under construction at 3049 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona has been selected as the site of the 1962 Woman's International Bowling Congress Tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to start on April 5, 1962 and 300 Bowl, owned by Consolidated Bowling Corp., as is Squaw Peak, has been named as the second choice in the event Squaw Peak is not completed. Current building schedule, however, calls for completion in August.
Hotel Westward Ho has been named convention headquarters, with convention dates being May 7, 8 and 9th.
Between 18,000 and 20,000 women are expected to compete in this tournament which will run over a period of from six to seven weeks.
