Randolph & Clowes, successors to Brown Bros, on Christmas eve presented each of their employes, 145 in all, with a turkey. Each of the office hands received a money present. That the workmen appreciated their employers' kindness is evident from the fact that before the works closed Mr Clowes was called upon to accept a handsome gold-headed cane. Superintendent C.J. Birkenmeyer was also remembered and received a gold-handled umbrella. It was a pleasant occasion and will long be remembered both by employers and employes.
