The several Independent Corps of this town yesterday celebrated their Anniversary with the usual splendour and parade. We were unable to obtain a further list of the officers chosen than the following:

Independent Company of Cadets.—J. B. Woon, Colonel, vice Colonel Kumphry, resigned, Beknon Helme, 1st Major, Samuel Y. Atwell, 2d Major, William Aplin, Captain.

Providence Independent Light Dragoons.—Charles O. Foster, Colonel; George R. A. Olney, Lieutenant-Colonel; Joseph T. Arnold, Major, vice John Payson, resigned; Galen Richmond, Captain; Anophilus Taft, Lieutenant; James Sweetland, Cornet.
